There were 6 entries for the race (as shown above). The race started prompt at 10.30am, all cleared the start cleanly apart from Raymond who went wrong side of the bouy. Therefore had to double back and re-cross the start line leaving him well behind the field. Stuart went straight into the lead which he increased each lap, finishing in first place well ahead of the rest. A very good result. Raymond after a terrible start worked his way through the field to finish in 2nd, a sterling performance. Harold finished 3rd after holding 2nd position for most of the race, with John ending up a creditable 4th using a borrowed yacht for the first time. Steve finished 5th whilst Ian retired with some problems. Stuart Smith was duly presented by Phill Bowker with the ‘S’ Class trophy and also the trophy for the most points accrued over the year using his S Class yacht in other club events. Well done Stuart and all those who took part...
