Report of the day:
20’C+ Sunny all day, refreshment tent well attended. An excellent turnout with Richard performing a number of boiler tests
throughout the morning. Calm waters provided a good sailing day and Raymond Binns became the 1st to be awarded the
‘Steam Queen’ trophy for the best boat of the day. Well done to the ladies in the tea tent for keeping us all supplied with
food and drink.

Stan’s - Gotcha
As usual this year, Stan the man, provided a very entertaining
round up of the year and awarded 3 Gotcha’s for those who
made minor mistakes throught out year.
Revenge is sweet said Ron, who then awarded stan with his
own Gotcha for his ‘Wind’ (an in-joke with the club members in

Roger receiving his Heli-Safety hat
after crashing at Batley Sports
Centre earlier in the year.
Sunday the 12th December, a good turn out for the annual Christmas lunch with over 50 members & family attending.
A wonderful meal was enjoyed by all, with friendly staff on hand.
The meal was followed by a short speech from the club Chairman Phill Bowker and the award of

The trophy is awarded to the club member / members who have shown great enthusiasm towards

Following the raffle, PRO Stan Reffin produced his usual crop of amusing Gotcha’s (see panel below)
