Officer of the Day’s Report (Phill Bowker)
A cold day, but a good turn out with 12 entries. Handicapping took some time to sort
through but it was obvious who the winner was, more difficult to work out the lower order.
Congratulations to all those who took part, with plenty of both club and park regulars there
to watch.
Officer of the Day’s Report (Phill Bowker)
With 9 entries and the rule that competitors must complete the full 1 hour in order for their laps to count to the final tally.
This gave an interesting tortoise and hare situation to the race. Fred Senior and Jack Stanley vied for the lead from the start
with Jack eventually pulling out a 4 lap lead but slowed considerably towards the last 10 minutes. Fred was able to regain
3 laps, but Jack just made it over the finish line as time was called with Fred only a half lap behind. All in all a very enjoyable
day for all concerned. Thanks to Keith Hays and Adam Holmes for their help in lap counting.
